[EBB Sightings] Harlequin Duck in Richmond Harbor

I had the pleasure of following a?Harlequin Duck in the Richmond Harbor on Saturday. ?

The spectacular male was accompanied by what I assumed was a female Harlequin Duck. ?



I followed them from near Salute Restaurant all the way through the yacht harbor?until they?

disappeared among the pilings under the old Ford Plant. The only other time I've seen Harlequin?



Ducks was near Port Renfrew on the southern Pacific coast side of Vancouver Island.?



How common are  Harlequin Duck sightings in California?
