The White-throated Sparrow that has been frequenting our feeders in the Oakmore neighborhood in Oakland since October was joined briefly by a second WTSP this morning, also tan-striped.  I don't know whether the second bird is a new arrival or there have been two all along and today is the first time we've seen them together.

The Red-necked Grebe (and five other grebe spp.) continues in Lake Merritt.  This morning it was near the islands end of the big mixed duck/grebe flock that stretches from the islands to the Embarcadero, close to shore on the Lakeside Park side of the lake.
