    On Sunday Jan. 31 at 4:30PM I was walking on the paved trail by the water
    about 300 feet north of the end of the field for flying human-made kites.
    Resting at the top of a large tree (inland, about 100 feet east of the
    trail) was a white-tailed kite (the bird, not the human-made kind). This was
    the first time I have sighted this beautiful bird, but I had both binoculars
    and a camera and am sure of the identification. It then took off, flying
    southwest.
