11 AM today, I saw one female *common merganser* in Jewel  Lake near  
the edge of the dam. 

There were 2 *varied thrush* on the right side off the main trail to 
Jewel lake 50 yards  before the restrooms.near the lake.

I also saw and heard about 30 juvenile humans loudly vocalizing on the 
walk to the lake.
