A few minutes ago I heard some distant aerial murmurings.  When they were
at their loudest (but still rather soft) I decided that they were most
likely geese, but they seemed too mellow and musical to be Canadas.  Could
Snow Geese be already passing though?  I don't know their voices well
enough to say if these sounded like Snowies.  Or are there any other
suggestions for possible candidates, some shorebirds perhaps?
