This morning at 9:27 AM in Pleasanton off of Hopyard Rd. in the Sweet
Tomatoes restaurant parking lot a Sharp-shinned Hawk.
The Sharpie came in from the north flying slowly.
Then it spotted it's prey in the umbrella shaped groomed tree lining the
    parking lot.
With several hardy wing beats it dove directly into a tree.
It wasn't but a few seconds that it came out , perching on top the tree
with a sparrow like bird in its talons.
The Sharp-shinned Hawk hung out for a bit longer, - maybe a half minute
    then took off .

Birding is fun and educational + it gets us out and away from the TV remote!
