    This was another slow week, with Thursday as the exception to the rule. 
      At the Berkeley Marina that day we watched 14 American White Pelicans 
    fly over against a rare blue sky, a Wandering Tattler was on the bricks 
    at Brickyard Beach, and 4 Elegant Terns fished off of the turnaround at 
    Cesar Chavez Park as a single juvenile Pigeon Guillemot swam in the same 
    area.
    
    The only other birds of note were the continuing Sharp-shinned Hawk 
    family that nested successfully near Wildcat Creek between Vollmer and 
    Grizzly Peaks, and an Ash-throated Flycatcher near the top of Vollmer. 
    We heard several Dendroica type "chip" notes, but we never sighted the 
    source birds in the fog that ruled Tilden each day.
