[EBB Sightings] Different Age Classes of Golden Eagles/Sunol Area

Different Age Classes of Golden Eagles/Sunol Area, 1.5 to 1.75 miles east of I-680 on Calaveras Rd. on the way to Sunol Regional Park

Throughout the day on both July 31 and today, Aug. 1, I saw various age classes of GOLDEN EAGLE (juvenile, subadult, and adult) on the eastern ridgetops as you look up from Calaveras Rd.

(Note the age class terminology I am using is based on Humphrey and Parkes' system (1959) and adheres to the same terminology used in the excellent
"Raptors of Western North America," Brian Wheeler (2003).)
