Yesterday I stopped at the Mission Adobe park (behind Mission Nursery on Niles Blvd. & Nursery Ave. just south of Mission Blvd) in Niles. Birds of note included -

Hooded Oriole - 1 male & 1 female (separate locations)
Black-headed Grosbeak - 1 male (this male & the male Hooded were sharing the top of a small oak tree together making for great looks & comparison)
Rufous Hummingbird - 1 subadult male (he perched on a fence nearby at one point fanning his tail to reveal broad outer retrices)
Red-breasted Nuthatch - 1 female
Western Kingbird - 1 adult & 1 begging juvenile
Pacific Slope Flycatcher - 2 begging juveniles & several adults
