[EBB Sightings] Garin and Dry Creeks parks Sat. highlights

The Albany Adult School Beginning Birding class enjoyed a beautiful morning at Garin Regional Park in Hayward. Highlights included:

Bullocks Orioles (at least two pairs)
Western Bluebird (pair)
Black-headed Grosbeak (pair)
American Robin (on a nest)
Western Kingbird
Ash-throated Flycatcher
Pacific-slope Flycatcher (heard many, but we never saw one)
Wilson's Warbler (ditto)
Bewick's Wren

After the class left, I spent some more time at Garin and then hiked into Dry Creek RP from Garin main entrance to Tamarack Ave. Dry Creek entrance and back along the Dry Creek trail, a great riparian area following Garin Creek.
