Saw an adult male harlequin duck today at the Richmond Marina around
3:40 PM (low tide). Probably same duck seen by others and missed by me
x2 a few weeks ago. He was swimming west near the Marina Park area
shoreline headed towards the Tradewinds Sailing School site. He
started at the end of the boat docks in front of SALUTE restaurant and
swam clockwise (looking down at the marina) about 1/3 of the way around
the marina. I scoped him from the other side of the Marina on the
walkway in front of the very large office building near the
harbormaster's bldg. and boat launch. This observation spot is far
away and requires a good scope, but the lighting is excellent from this
    point of view.

Also saw a longtailed duck near the end of the F boat pier close to
the boat launch about 2:30 PM.
