[EBB Sightings] one more thing

Dear Birders:

I neglected to mention in this afternoon's posting about Jewel Lake that the first Mourning Cloak butterflies are out.  One resting on the path, stretched out its wings and we were able to admire the rich, velvety brown color, the yellow edging, and even the blue spots above the border.  This is a big swallowtail-sized butterfly that favors moist areas.
