[EBB Sightings] Walnut Creek Ducks

Like some others, I am trying to wrap up my Contra Costa Big Year.  I 
searched the creek along DVC this morning looking for Hooded Mergansers and 
struck out.  Could not find any at Contra Costa Country Club, either.

Off Olympic Boulevard on the west side of Walnut Creek and west of Pleasant 
Hill Road, I found 3 male Wood Ducks and a female, but no mergansers.

Deciding to do Christmas shopping instead, I was walking from Whole Foods on 
Newell Avenue towards Macy's when I looked in the poor excuse for a creek 
there.  A small ripple of water indicated some ducks there and with a little 
care to not spook them, I had a good no-binocular view of a pair of Hooded 
Mergansers.
