[EBB Sightings] Red-necked Grebe at Berkeley Pier

Hi EB Birders:

Barbara and I just got back from an end-of-day walk out to the end of
the Berkeley Pier.  We were hoping to see Brandt's Cormorants for her
Alameda County year list.  No luck with that but we did get excellent
closeup looks at a Red-necked Grebe about half way out the pier on the
north side.  It was diving quite a lot and managing to come up with a
small fish to eat every time.  Unfortunately, my camera was at home
since I had come straight from work.
