This morning, I saw the following birds near Livermore:

Eurasian Collared-Dove - 4 on Mines Road, at milepost 1.3, accross the street from the Pumpkin Patch, and 9 (a new record number at one location) on Cross Road, 1/4 mile N. of Tesla ROad, at the entrance to the Purple Orchid Inn.

Hooded Mergansers - 11 females, in the pond at the S. end of S. Greenville Road, just before the gate to the Charles R. Winery.

Phainopepla - a male, in the top of an Oak tree next to the same pond.

    Happy Thanksgiving,
