[EBB Sightings] Lake Merritt Hybrid Merganser

Hi all,

I got out to Lake Merritt for a little bit today. The Hooded Merganser X Barrow's Goldeneye was in fairly close near the Rotary Nature Center.  I've seen pictures, but I don't think I've bumped into him before. Very unique member of our wintering waterfowl. If you haven't see him, he's a good reason to get out and poke around the Lake.
