    Hi all,

This morning I spent a few hours at Tilden Park with Denise Wight. We found nothing rare at Jewel Lake but did have about 5-6 Swainson's Thrushes, a couple of pewees, and lots of Warbling Vireos and Townsend's Warblers. An hour at Inspiration Point yielded little in the way of raptors but we did have four Vaux's Swifts and, at about 11:15, a Lewis's Woodpecker flying southeast. A few falls back I had numerous fly-by Lewis's at this spot - I will track that down since Don Lewis asked about it a few days ago.

This evening at 7 pm (while happily slurping away at an ice cream cone from Baskin Robbins, I had a migrant Osprey fly low and south over Crow Canyon Road just east of I-680.

    Happy birding,
