[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline (09/26)

Seen today (715 AM to 1200 AM) -

Horned Grebe - 2 seen from Hayward's Landing were the first I have seen here this fall.

Ashy Storm-Petrel - 0. The bird that Bob Dunn saw yeaterday was not seen today.

Common Tern - 1 seen over the bay from Hayward's Landing.

Western Wood-Pewee - 1 seen in the fennel and Coyote Brush at the base of Mt. Trashmore on the west side.

Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 2 seen at Winton Ave.

Bewick's Wren - 1 seen at Winton Ave.

Orange-crowned Warbler - 3 seen at Winton Ave.

Yellow Warbler - 8 seen at Winton Ave.

Yellow-rumped Warbler - 3 seen near Winton Ave. were the first I have seen here this fall. Bob Dunn had several yesterday.

Blackpoll Warbler - 1 seen at Winton Ave. First found at around 0800 am, last seen by Bob Dunn at 0915. It was where the MacGillivray's Warbler was seen. 12 previous records, the last was 9-24-06.

American Redstart - 1 seen at Winton Ave. First found at around 0745, last seen at around 1200. It was where the MacGillivray's Warbler was seen. 8 previous records, the last was 10-11-06.

Common Yellowthroat - 3 seen near Winton Ave.

Wilson's Warbler - 1 seen at Winton Ave.

Brewer's Sparrow - 2 seen in the fennel and Coyote Brush around the base of Mt. Trashmore on the west and north sides near the northwest corner. I have 3 records in 1992 and 1993 but 8 since fall of 1995. All other records are of 1 bird.
