[EBB Sightings] Pacific Loon continues; Berkeley Marina

Hi all,

I went out to the Berkeley Marina tonight to look for
Bob Brandriff's Pacific Loon from this morning.  I
scanned and scoped the channel from the Skate's side,
went out the pier a ways, scanned Emeryville and the
inner bay from His Lordship's, went to the east side
of the Marina and looked into each side-slip. My last
stop was opposite the Hornblower at the east end of
the main channel, and sure enough, there was a loon
back at the far west end of the channel.  I raced back
to the parking area just north of Skate's and got good
looks at the Pacific Loon as light was fading. The
bird was floating between the rocky breakwater and the
solid cement perpendicular breakwater where the
cormorants hang out, when last seen at dusk.
