    Today at the shoreline

Semipalmated Sandpiper - 1 in Hayward Marsh, on a small island in the middle of the same pond where the Least Tern nest island. It then flew to the Least Tern nesting island. It was with about 8 Western Sandpipers and 2 Least Sandpipers. When I went back late in the day I could not find it. Seen from near the southeast corner of the public trail in Cogswell Marsh.

Red Phalarope - 1 in the west most pond at Hayward Marsh.

Black Skimmer - 2, that Bob Power found earlier in the day. I first saw them at 9AM but they were gone when I left at 12 noon. I also went back late in the day and didn't see them.

    Swainson's Thrush - 1 at Winton Ave.

Yellow Warbler - 1 at Winton Ave.

Western Tanager - 1 at Winton Ave.

Hooded Oriole - 1 male near last years nest in the trees near Frank's Dump East.

Also at high tide Frank's Dump West had almost no shorebirds.

    Good birding

    Bob
