    Hi all:

I had two BLACK SKIMMERS at Hayward Marsh this a.m. on
the island to the south of the Least Tern nesting
    Island.

Hayward Marsh is about equidistant from the Hayward
Interp Center adjacent to Hwy 92, and the Winton Ave
staging area off of Hwy 880.
The middle ponds have a shell-strewn island where
Least Terns nest, and the occasional Snowy Plover can
    be seen.

A good map showing trails and distances can be found
at ebparks.org and then searching for Hayward Reg.
    Shoreline in the maps section.

Earlier in the morning, Bob Richmond had a Western
Tanager and a Yellow Warbler in the Eucs at the west
    end of Winton Ave.

    Good birding,
