I spent some time birding along Mines Rd. both days this weekend. Nothing
new, but a couple of continuing birds to report:

    Last evening (Sat, 5/17 - 6:30 pm), I heard(2) and saw(1) of Bob Power's
Willow Flycatchers at the bridge at MM 3.1. I stopped, twice, briefly at that
spot again today, but didn't have a repeat.

At around 5:30 pm today (5/18), I re-found my Canyon Wren from last weekend,
continuing down in the canyon at MM 13. This time, I actually saw the bird,
    perched in a tree, singing!

Like Bob P., I've been looking for Chats on Mines Rd., but despite driving
and walking the road at many likely places btw. MM 1 to MM 16+, I haven't had
    any luck either.

    Good birding,
    Kathy Robertson

I went looking for a Chat but tripped over two calling
WILLOW FLYCATCHERS instead. Not a bad trade.
MM 3.1 (not marked) at the bridge adjacent to the gate
for Rancho Escondido, calling from downstream and
    close to the bridge.
