This morning I took another walk at the west side of Briones Regional Park.
This time it was with our 84-year old friend, Betty Gallagher. We walked
towards the archery range. Almost as soon as we left the parking lot, we
had a singing Lazuli Bunting at the top of a small tree on our right. It
was still singing in the area when we returned 2-1/2 hours later. A second
Lazuli Bunting was seen very briefly beyond the trees and the gate, which
leads to the grassy areas near the range.

Otherwise, it was windy and cold. Lots of Spotted Towhees calling, a couple
of Orange-crowned Warblers, Bewick's Wrens and other expected birds.
