Sorry for the somewhat late reporting of this great duck! Cranky computers
    ...
The duck was seen quite well by several people on March 25 ande again on
    April8 2008.
It is in the cove at Brickyard Cove and was also seen on the bayside of the
main drive into Brickyard Cove when you are coming from Harbour Way. Near
the OIl Spill ships at a ssmall mudflat.
It was cold and very windy but we all had very good looks at the bird. Call
me at 510 525 3238 for more consise directions. Sorry I don't know the name
    of the roads..
Also seen on April 8 were the four Black Scoters near the Salute resteruant
ant Richmond Marina. They were preening and feeding. Also seen, Golden
Pacfic Plovers, Spotted Sandpipers, Black-bellied Plovers and several Surf
Scoters all dressed up for Spring. And 50 to 60 Clarks and Western Grebes
    every where we went!
    Good birding
