    Steve's Macgillivray's was still singing today at milepost 7.69. It  
    took me 45 minutes to actually see the bird, however. A Bullock's  
    Oriole kept me entertained while I hunted.
    Farther along the road, just past milepost 10.3, were 3 Black-throated  
    Gray Warblers, a pair of Phainopepla defending their mistletoe  
    infested tree against all comers, and a pair of Western Bluebirds  
    trying to gather too much nesting material at a time. When I returned,  
    there was a juvie Golden Eagle being harassed by many smaller birds at  
    the intersection of Mines and Tesla. It seemed unconcerned.
