[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline and San Leandro Marina

Seen at the shoreline and the marina today.


Cackling Goose - 4 on the Radio Tower Hills.

Eurasian Wigeon - 2. One in Ora Loma Marsh and one in Bockman Channel.

Redhead - 1 female in the City of Hayward Ponds with the Canvasbacks.

Black Scoter - 1 female just offshore of the San Leandro Marina.

Lesser Yellowlegs - 1 at Hayward's Landing.

Surfbird - 22 at the San Leandro Marina.

Caspian Tern - 30 on the mudflats at the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek.

Lapland Longspur - 1 on the Radio Tower Hills at the usual spot. It was seen at 6:30 PM but not in the morning.
This is not one of the 2 birds seen last sunday. They both had much more black on the breast. One had slightly
more than half of the breast black, the other had a breast that was almost 2/3 black. The bird seen today had 
a small area that was turning black.
