    Hi birders:

Barbara and I birded the Livermore area yesterday. On the way there
we stopped at the Lake Chabot marina and were able to re-find the
White-throated Sparrow reported a while ago by Kathy Robertson. As
Kathy reported, it was with a large flock of Golden-crowned Sparrows.
The flock was in the trees and blackberry brambles across the lawn
    south of the snack bar.

    Highlights in Livermore area:

We saw two of the three male Eurasian Wigeons at the Las Positas Golf
Course originally reported by Art Edwards. We parked at intersection
of Clubhouse Drive and Terminal Circle and had to walk a little way
onto the course to see the birds in one of the ponds.

No luck with bluebirds on Patterson Pass Rd. but Barbara found a
singing Rock Wren in the rocks above the "Gate 3" pullout just beyond
MP 6.63. From the pass we got good looks at a Ferruginous Hawk
soaring with two Golden Eagles. A probable Prairie Falcon briefly
seen on North Flynn Rd close to the South Flynn Rd intersection eluded
    positive identification.

There was a male Phainopepla along the road into Del Valle Regional
    Park at MP 0.61.

    Good birding,
