This afternoon I decided to take a hike at Lake Del Valle as I'm tired of
driving and chasing birds. It was a great afternoon, almost 60F. I found a
singing Cal Thrasher in the Coyote Brush and heard Hutton's Vireo. Later I
watched male and female Hairy Woodpecker in the Blue Pines.
On the way home I went through Springtown in north Livermore looking for
Blue-winged Teal and finally was rewarded with a nice male in the pond at
the corner of Dalton and Ames. Found one Burrowing Owl out in the middle of
the large field south of the Livermore Gun Club at the corner of Dagnino and
    Raymond.
Back to work tomorrow so I'm probably done for another week, ABY 149.
    Good birding.
