[EBB Sightings] Common Loon at Quarry Lakes RP (Fremont)

I birded Rainbow Lake at Quarry Lakes RP in Fremont
mid-day today in search of a loon Nancy Christensen
saw there last night.  I found a COMMON LOON preening
and diving both in the middle of the lake and along
the shoreline, near the chain link fence on the east
(hill) side of the trail, across from the single, tall
tree with yellow leaves on the west side of the trail.
In the south end of the lake were at least two
RING-NECKED DUCKS (male and female)and a female
REDHEAD. The lake also held a male and a female
BUFFLEHEAD and a few HORNED GREBES among a flock of
eared grebes.
