    Coincidence, global warming, change in magnetic fields?  Something strange 
    is going on!
    
    I�m not sure that it is rare, but it certainly is the first time I�ve seen 
    them.  Four; mom, dad + two, on a residential street this afternoon at about 
    5pm near the middle of town.

    there were 4 phalaropes swimming in Lake Anza in Tilden Park.  They were 
    located near the upper parking lot and bridge.  I've been to the lake many 
    times, and have never seen
    phalaropes there before.

    Not unusual for this area but for my backyard, yes. Not their usual habitat.
