I was taken somewhat by surprise and had only a few seconds look, but I'm 
fairly certain I saw an adult Bald Eagle this morning flying low this 
morning from the uphill side across the fire trail and out of sight  
downwards into or across  the canyon.  Strawberry Canyon is in Berkeley 
behind the UC football stadium.
