On the morning of Tuesday June 12, while answering a phone call at my
desk at Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont, I spied a Western Kingbird
on the corral fence just outside my window. I love those "serendipitous
sightings" - seeing unusual birds while not actively out seeking them.
