A male Great-tailed Grackle swooped into my backyard this morning and
settled onto the chimney with a horrendous sound, scared the cats into the
house. I've caught glimpses of a grackle in my neighborhood over the past
two weeks but haven't been able to get a good look. My neighborhood is west
Livermore not far from the airport and water treatment plant.

Not looking forward to this 'song' every morning.
