    Hi, all.
Spent a good part of the day up at Sibley for the
first time in ages. I think I saw a golden eagle down
the canyon (towards Canyon) a ways, but that was it.
No activity in or around the known nest.
I did see 2 pairs of pigmy nuthatches flying in and
out of nest holes in snags near the nest viewing area.

    Among those seen and/or heard:
    dark-eyed junco
    robin
Wilson's warbler (singing up a storm)
    scrub jay
    Steller's jay
    chestnut-backed chickadee
    western bluebird
hummingbird--more than you can shake a stick at--
maybe 20 or 30? all Annas, I assume
    European starling
    California quail
    red-shafted flicker
    hairy woodpecker
    American kestrel
    red-tailed hawk
    spotted towhee
    Calfornia towhee
a couple of unidentified raptors, one large, but not
quite as "heavy" as the usual buteo, generally light
color, the other a falcon from the shape with color
similar to a kestrel, but it seemed too large (or
maybe my depth perception is shot).
I had hope to see if the lark sparrows were still
around, but didn't hit the area of previous sightings
(which I realized once I got back to the display
area). Has anyone seen them lately?
A gorgeous day. Lupin, poppies, buttercups,
blue-eyed grass and tiny little white, pink and purple
    blossoms scattered over the hills.
    Cheers,
    Alan Howe
