Friends: Overcast with very low cloud deck in Wildcat Canyon Regional Park
today. Adelle Carroll and I entered from Rifle Range Road. We were there
from 9 to 11 am. Best birds were Caspian Terns overhead (at least three of
them, all vocalizing; we saw one clearly who circled looking for the others
it had lost in the fog) and Acorn Woodpeckers, unusual, I think, for Wildcat
    Canyon.
Here is the complete list, sorry it is not in any particular order:
    Wild Turkey (heard)
    Double-crested Cormorant (overhead)
    Dark-eyed Junco
    Acorn Woodpecker
    Caspian Terns (overhead)
    Cooper's Hawk (heard)
    Orange-crowned Warbler
    Wilson's Warbler
    Purple Finch
    Varied Thrush
    Wrentit (heard)
    Song Sparrow
    Anna's Hummingbird
    Allen's Hummingbird
    Scrub Jay
    Steller's Jay
    Robin
    Oak Titmouse
    Chestnut-backed Chickadee (heard)
    Ruby-crowned Kinglet (heard)
    Mourning Dove
    Bewick's Wren (heard)
    Spotted Towhee (heard)
    California Towhee (heard)

Thanks to Adelle for getting me out to hear the birds today!

Best of Birds to you all!
