i went out there sat 5:00-5:30pm, on a sign at the Holey Road/Byron Hot Springs Road intersection was perched a sparrow hawk. in the grazed field on the left driving down Byron Hot Springs Road before the first curve there was a great blue heron hunting and out in the area to the right we saw 2 white tailed kites hovering around for a couple minutes before diving to the ground. we didnt see any owls but about 1.5 miles down the road there were 2 huge ravens sitting on the telephone lines which really made the trip for me and driveign back out we spotted a whitetailed kite sitting on a fence post out in the area where they were hunting flapping its wings and hopping from post to post.
