A female Yellow-shafted Flicker has been hanging around the creek that runs
adjacent to Red Willow Park in San Ramon, just off Dougherty near the
    intersection with Crow Canyon Rd.

    Also seen in the area:
    Red-shafted Flicker male
    Fox Sparrow
    Nuttall's Woodpecker
    Red-shouldered Hawk
lots of Crowned Sparrows, Robins and the usual city park birds.

Also saw a Varied Thrush in our backyard in San Ramon today. It's a first
    for us.
