I am a volunteer at Berkeley Animal Care Services (BACS) and was startled by
the appearance of a red-legged partridge in a cage there. I am hoping
through the GG Audubon web site, a home can be found for this bird. Please
see what you can do through postings. Suggestions are welcome for other ways
to get the word out.

A red-legged partridge was captured in Berkeley and is now in a cage at the
Berkeley Animal Care Services location on 2nd Street awaiting adoption. Call
510-981-6600 for information.

This beautiful game bird, native to Britain and France, is a rare find in
