Today while birding Brushy Peak EBRP in Livermore, I wasn't sure if I was
hearing Savannah Sparrow or Grasshopper Sparrow.
    But I wasn't seeing any Savannah's sparrows.
And I'd like to think I remember the song of the Grasshopper Sparrow from
my days of rambling around on Mission Peak in years pass.
So when I came home I played the Bird Songs of California by Geoffrey
Keller from Cornell Labs of Ornithology.
I was hearing Grass Hopper Sparrows. I was not fortunate enough to see
the little guys. There are several spots along the trail where you can hear
    them.
The song can be heard by following the Brushy Peak Trail up pass a stand
of eucalyptus trees were you'll see
Western Tanagers, Bullock Oriole's and Western Kingbirds.
You'll arrive at a wooden pole trail marker.
If you go straight you'll arrive at the base of Brushy peak with its oak
    savannah habitat.
If you turn left and follow a cow path down hill you'll begin to hear the
    Grasshopper Sparrows singing.
This hill side face's southwest so its hot - even today.
    Have a good day.
