Friends: Two pairs of buffleheads plus a single goldeneye female were on =
Jewel Lake in Tilden Nature Area, Berkeley on Tuesday, 3/14/06. Nearby, =
both Audubon and Myrtle strains of Yellow-rumped Warblers, as well as =
male and female Townsend's Warblers just opposite the Jewel Lake =
restroom in the oaks and pines (on the path that connects the boardwalk =
with the lake sittting area). Also, Ruby-crowned Kinglet displaying (to =
me?) a beautiful red patch. Red-shouldered Hawk in full cry around the =
    nearby Little Farm.=20
Down in El Cerrito, a flock of American goldfinches roosting at Lynn =
Street and Ashbury, and singing House Finches up and down the street. =
Maybe they were the attraction for a beautiful adult Cooper's Hawk =
    sitting on the
    phone lines nearby.
Beautiful moon last night rose at 100% full, according to my localized =
Astronomical Almanac, not a usual occurrence.

    Best of Life, and Birding!
