With the excitement of all the Tri-Valley Burrowing Owl's recently this
    may be of interest.
I'd like to call attention to an article in the Autumn issue of "
Tideline" Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge Newspaper .
The article is about a Burrowing Owl captured on the Farallon Islands
which had been feeding on Ashy Storm Petrel's.
The owl was lured out of is burrow and captured with taped songs of the
    Ashy Storm Petrel.
The owl was transported to Don Edwards and released.
The article is full of detail its a good light story with a good ending.
This issue is new so it will be around for a while.
If down around the Newark HQ of the refuge you can get a copy there or
call they may mail you a copy 510-792-0222.
The refuge is always seeking new members.
    Regards
