    East Bay Birders:

On Sunday 24 April 2005 I noted a male Black-headed Grosbeak at backyard
feeder. This was the first for the year. First yard record was a female on
    26 April 2003; 2nd yard record was a male on 26 April 2004.

Well, the Black-headed Grosbeak has still been around the yard on 25 April
2005, 1 May 2005, was again at the feeder this morning, 2 May 2005.
Yesterday, 1 May 2005 it was singing in from various trees in the yard and
    at the neighboring houses.

On Friday, 29 April 2005 I discovered a male Bullock's Oriole, and yesterday
the was a pair of Bullock's Orioles shared the same tree with the male
    Black-headed Grosbeak.

On Wednesday, 27 April 2005 I discovered a singing male Western Tanager in a
Eucalyptus Tree directly across the street from my property.

Both American and Lesser Goldfinches are still regularly visiting the
feeders as well as someone's lost Canary.
