Subject: [EBB Sightings] Peale's race peregrine in Hoffman Marsh, Richmond
On Tues morning 10-21, there was a Peale's subtype peregrine between
Hoffman and Meeker's Slough. Peale's are larger and darker than the
peregrines usually seen in the area (Anatum). They have been known
to winter in the area.
It was on a power line in the concrete capped area of the fenced-off
chemical waste area to the south west of the UCB Richmond Field
Station, then flew to a tree.
I managed to get a couple of photos from across the marsh.
