We observed a return of the Rufous-Crowned Sparrows in our yard.

I reviewed our AviSys records and noted that the first observation was
in 2005 August 12 and lasted until mid-Oct in 2005. "3" is the highest
number of RCSP sighted at any time and only one bird had adult plumage.

We have no record of RCSP in 2006.
It could be that they were here but we missed them or they didn't show
up, or we didn't remember to enter the record (not likely).

The first sighting for 2007 was Wednesday, July 25.
There were 3, only one had adult plumage. This morning, July 27, I saw
    2. Both have juvenile plumage.
The birds are always attracted to the grasses (Nassella tenuissima, aka
Mexican Feather Grass) in my yard and a water dish with drip.

The Mexican Feather Grass reseeded itself (wildly) in my yard and most
birds like to hide or find food in it.
I have taken a few distant, blurry photos of them. They are hard to
catch with a point-n-shoot camera. The closest I came was ~15 feet.

We live near Garin Park in Hayward.
