I birded an hour and a half late this morning from the
Interpretive Center to just north of Johnson's Landing
& back. Birds of note were 6 LEAST TERNS foraging at
low tide around the foot bridge just N. of Johnson's
Landing. I had seen 4 LONG-BILLED CURLEWS on the way
up the shoreline. They were still in the 1st large
marsh from the Interpretive Center (H.A.R.D. marsh?).
A surprise (to me) was a WHIMBREL who flushed from
just west of the Center, flying nearly overhead,
calling as it went into the H.A.R.D. Marsh.
