[EBB Sightings] Lake Merritt

Jean & I walked around Lake Merritt this afternoon. Saw 23 species, 
mostly the ususal suspects. The eared and horned grebes are going into 
transition to summer plumage, and a couple of eared grebes are almost there.

The big deal for us was a red-breasted merganser. Totally unexpected 
there, although we have been seeing a few at Berkeley's Aquatic Park.
