A little late but when out birding this past Sunday afternoon, Dec 3rd
(3.00-4.00pm) at the Hayward Regional Shoreline Park, I came across a
solitary Snow Goose (dark morph) feeding on the grassy slopes among
about 18-20 Canada Geese. The area is just north of the Winton Sanitary
district's dump and to the east of the shoreline trail.

Other regulars in attendance included Northern Harrier, White Tailed
Kite, White Crowned Sparrows, Western Meadowlarks, singing Golden
Crowned Sparrow, Yellow Rumped Warbler, and solitary immature/female(?)
American Widgeon on the pond north of the Winton Sanitary district's
dump to the east of the trail.
