    I took a quick hike down to the pier and back at Pt Pinole Regional 
    Shoreline today.  Among the birds on the pilings of the old pier (alongside 
    the Fishing Pier) were about 20 ELEGANT TERNS.  I believe this is the 
    furthest from the ocean that I've seen this species.
    
    Other birds of interest included:
    Spotted Sandpiper (1)
    Orange-Crowned Warblers (2)
    Wilson's Warbler (1)
    Townsend's Warblers (2)
    Say's Phoebes (2)
    Lincoln's sparrows (2)
    
    I pretty sure I had a House Wren, but the LBJ got away from me before I got 
    a positive Id.  White-crowned and Golden-crowned Sparrows were 
    well-represented in large numbers.
