I forgot to list 2 birds that were seen or heard this morning -
Rufous Hummingbird - 1 male at Winton
Ring-necked Pheasant - 1 heard in the weedy field NE of Winton.
I went back there for 45 minutes in the evening starting at 6 PM. Almost all of what was seen earlier was not seen in the evening, but the following was -
Coopers Hawk - 1 adult male. May be part of a nesting pair. Courtship has been seen, they were also seen carring nest material but no nest has been found. They also nested at Winton last year.
Hermit Thrush - 1 at Winton.
Rough-winged Swallow - 2 over the Hayward Sewer Ponds, these ponds are just east of Cogswell Marsh.
Red-necked Phalarope - an estimated 150 in the Hayward Sewer Ponds.
