East Bay Birders,
This morning I swung by Berkeley Aquatic Park to see if the TUFTED DUCK was
still there. He was along the east shore of the main pond with two female
Greater Scaup. Last week he was pretending to sleep but this time he was
preening most of the time. Photo is at:
http://www.surfbirds.com/albums/displayimage.php?pos=-4000
Also the NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was still at the northeast corner of the
south pond at Berkeley Aquatic Park this morning.
For those who have not been, Take I80/580 N from Emeryville. Take the
Ashby/Shellmound (1st Berkeley exit). Follow the signs for Shellmound to a
"T." Turn left on Shellmound (name changes to Bay) and it dead-ends at
Berkeley Aquatic Park.
Good luck.
